“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27
Take a moment to sit with your eyes closed, take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Do it one more time. Now take a moment to meditate on this scripture. What does it mean to you? What are you going through right now that you see as a huge mountain? You may be wondering how you are going to get through the storm, how you are going to get to the top of that mountain, how you are going to survive the fire. You may feel as though you are barely keeping your head above water. Do you feel alone, depressed, despondent, anxious? Are you facing challenges at work, problems in your relationships, health issues having you losing hope? Have you lost a loved one and the future just looks bleak? Have you been waiting for a life partner but it seems as though he or she will never come? What is it that is testing your faith? Take a moment to do an inventory and look at that thing that is causing you a lot of stress right now.
Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” Genesis 18:14
I can see how Sarah laughed after God told her she would have a child. She had waited for so long and given up hope. Like I have done many times, she took matters into her own hands and lived to regret it. God says that He will do what He has promised to do. Whatever desires He has placed in your heart, trust Him that He will make them come to pass. No matter how wildly, outrageously impossible they may seem. DO NOT LIMIT GOD. He is not human like us. He is GOD! Give Him His rightful place in your life and you will be amazed. Now don’t get me wrong, challenges will still creep up, but He will give you the resources you need to overcome those challenges. Every single one of them!
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
Let’s be honest, it is so much easier to take the easy route. We don’t like pain, weather its physical pain, emotional pain or the pain of being in an uncomfortable situation. Yes it’s painful to be outside your comfort zone. Show me someone who achieved great things without constantly pushing themselves outside their comfort zone. In order to grow we have to be willing to stretch, and stretching is uncomfortable. So if right now you are afraid to fail I want to challenge you to do it afraid anyway. And yes you will have failures, pick yourself up, dust yourself, cry if you must, vent in whatever way works for you and then get back to it. Remember, when you are living your life purpose, it’s not about you therefore quitting is not an option. Repeat after me, “It’s not about me, quitting is not an option.” So find a way to get through it knowing that God will give you everything you need to succeed. Again, it won’t be all roses and sunshine, but He will get you through it. Keep pushing, keep climbing, one foot in front of the other.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
